Common questions

How do I learn the controls?
On the title screen, choose TUTORIAL and then THE LESSON. It teaches every move one at a time. HOW TO PLAY shows every button.

Can I play with a game controller?
Yes. Game controllers work on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. On iPhone and iPad you can also play with the touch controls.

How do I play with my family on other devices?
Choose ONLINE on every device. Devices on the same Wi-Fi show up as PLAY WITH, and no account is needed. Make sure every device has the same version of the game.

My Story Mode save is not on my other device.
Saves sync through iCloud. Both devices need to be signed in to the same iCloud account (on Apple TV: Settings, Users and Accounts). Open the game on the device that has the save first, then open it on the other one. Choose STORY on the title screen: the line at the top of the save list says whether iCloud is on for that device and when it last shared.

How do I make my own toy?
On iPhone or iPad, choose MY TOYS on the title screen, then NEW TOY. Take a picture of your stuffed animal against a plain background, pick which toy it is most like, choose its moves, and save it. Your toy then shows up on the fighter select screen, and on your other devices too if they share an iCloud account. Make a Toy is not on Apple TV, which has no camera, but toys made on a phone or iPad can still be played there.

How do I start Story Mode over?
Choose STORY on the title screen, highlight the save, and use the erase option on that save.
